About

We are The Junior League of Hartford

Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in the Hartford communities that will benefit most from it. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the communities of Hartford and the surrounding areas.

Strength in Numbers

As one of hundreds of Junior League chapters across the world, we are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI). Our Local Impact

Right now, our primary focus of addressing the impact of systemic poverty on women and families in the Greater Hartford community requires immediate action, and our multi-faceted approach is making an impact. We hope to bring awareness to the need by connecting the community to existing resources and removing barriers to basic human needs by working closely with organizations in support of these goals. If you’re interested in learning more about our current focus or developing your own civic leadership skills, we welcome you to learn more or connect with us.

Each year, Junior League of Hartford members make a difference by volunteering at organizations and events that support our focus, such as:

  • The Diaper Bank of CT
  • Journey Home
  • Loaves & Fishes Ministries, Inc.
  • Interval House
  • Leadership Greater Hartford Quest Program
  • Done in a Day Community Projects
