President’s Message

Hello and Welcome!

I’m so excited to serve as President of the Junior League of Hartford (JLH) for 2023-2024 alongside our incredible Board of Directors.  When I joined the League over eight years ago, I couldn’t have imagined the opportunities, connections, and skills I would gain from being part of this organization.  This has been one of the most humbling experiences and I am so honored to represent this 100+ year old organization with deeply rooted history in the Greater Hartford region.

The Junior League of Hartford was established in 1921 and has nearly 400 women committed to a mission of advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.  We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.  Representing a range of life experiences, talents, skills, and passions, our JLH members each bring a unique perspective that drives our desire to have lasting community impact.  We are not just women in Greater Hartford, but a women’s organization affiliated with the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI), an organization of over 125k members across 295 member Leagues spanning 4 countries.

Our League partners with many notable community organizations such as Leadership Greater Hartford, Interval House, Fresh Place, Loaves and Fishes, Project Linus and many others in one-off community impact projects where we give both time and other resources.  Shifting focus to this year, we are excited to announce new year-long project partnerships with The Diaper Bank of Connecticut and Journey Home.  We are also excited for many of the trainings, events, and volunteer opportunities coming down the pipeline over the course of the year.

The Junior League of Hartford is able to continue its legacy of impactful service to the Greater Hartford community because of supporters, donors, and friends like you. I invite you to take action today and join me in supporting our network of inspiring women.
